Europe struggled this week, achieving a total of 89% of target. Made to measure sales have slowed down with total sales of only $4,715 reported, and for the third week running 7 branches reported zero trade. On the bright side everyone in the USA get's a pat on the back, having made target (105%) and smashing through last year's figure with 121%.

Europe - Notes from Bernie Collins

The area in week 42 struggled this week, achieving a total of 89% of target. Made to measure sales have slowed down with total sales of only $4,715 reported and for the third week running 7 branches reported zero trade. Ready to wear came in with 91.3% of target but 128% of last year.

Take a look at the way you have displayed the SALE fabrics in your mtm bunches, if you haven’t done it already – would the offer be better displayed on a board??? On price this is the best sale that we will have this year - it is cheaper to buy 2 Made to Measure suits than it is to buy 2 full price Ready to Wear suits right now. Make sure that you have the ready to wear models on display so that you can show the customer’s how the suit will look when made up. Have all of your postcards been sent out ?? Do you have a poster at the front of the store advertising this event?? Use every avenue available to you to get the word out.

Our area is currently running at $75,000 behind target on made to measure with only 10 weeks to go before year end, next week our target is $8571. We need to pull together to make this happen.

A big well done this week goes to:-

Paul Kerslake 3258 Vilseck, Dave Cox 3281 Chievres (second week running)and Vince Blackett 3229 Vaihingen. Honourable mentions for exceeding target also go to Melvyn Bromby in Mannheim, Geoff Berry in Wiesbaden, Dave Tindell in Wurzburg and John Collins and Leigh Poulton in Kaiserslautern.

The new store in Panzer, Stuttgart which will be Vince’s new branch will be refitted this week from Friday thru the weekend in preparation for the Grand Opening on Saturday 3 rd February. Photographs of the new store will follow opening in a later edition of Team Talk.

Have a good week, Bernie.

USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

A great week last week Ladies and Gentlemen – everyone get’s a pat on the back this week! It is a pleasure to let you all know that we made target (105%) and smashed through last year’s figure with 121%.

Made to measure hit 134% with a whopping 304% of Last Year. Ready Made was strong with 93% against target and 95% of Last Year, although with the Winter Sale now on once the word gets around I am sure this will double next week!

The Ready Made sale seems to be helping out a lot and the Measure sale is sure to produce some great results in week 43 and on. Some great results came in week 42, not only percentage but also business... Who did what??

  • FORT BELVOIR - 205% Combined Target Achieved – Over $11.5k on Mtm alone this week – Total sales of $20K helped us hit target. Well Done to Steve and Nathan.
  • LANGLEY AFB - 141% Combined Target Achieved – Dave planted some seeds a couple of weeks ago … They came back and spent $1600 on Mtm this week which helped push him over target and into 2nd place. Good job Dave... Well Done...
  • FORT CARSON - 110% Combined Target Achieved – Covering two branches and dodging snow this week! Great result Paul!
  • ANDREWS AFB - 108% Combined Target Achieved – Just pipped at the post there Roger and Nathan, still an excellent result with over $3k on each.

So, how close were you to making the top numbers this week? Well done to everyone – as a team we made target and this is what counts.

On a side note we had an excellent budget meeting last week in England... WATCH THIS SPACE for some exciting news about “Your business”...

Best regards, Andy.

Made to Measure

Swatches of cloths 790583 and 787692 have been cut in house and will be despatched to all European stores this week in shipments. USA swatches will be sent to Andy Schofield for re-distribution to Manager’s.

Made to Measure Garments in the USA

As all made to measure garments ordered in the USA are delivered directly from the factory into store, we would ask all Manager’s to check garments as they arrive into your store against your Oasys order. We do not want customer’s to be aware of any errors made by the factory and as most of the errors can be resolved at branch level prior to the customer being contacted a quick check can resolve most issues.

Happy Birthday Wishes To:-
