Europe - Notes from John Collins

Week 9: Another good week on ready made. Made to measure was down against both target and last year.

  LY $ Tgt $ Act $ Tgt % LY %
Made to Measure 12,559 14,576 7,120 49 57
Ready Made 34,175 38,350 45,851 120 134
Total Week 46,734 52,926 52,971 100 113

Looking at the figures it was a good week finishing at 100% of target and a healthy 113% of last year. Ready made sales were very good considering the weather and troop deployments. I have heard Managers this week stating how quiet it is and it goes to show that even though it is slow you are ready for the customers and pulling in those figures. A great job this week Team.

The down side was made to measure where we only managed to do 49% of target and we need to concentrate a little more on this side of the business. The made to measure 50% off sale has been extended for a week, which is great as we have a relatively high target of $10,000 for week 10. Make this extra week count not only for the Company but also for your wallet, with that 4% commission.

So how did the individual branches do?

FULL TIME BRANCHES

  • No 1 Grafenwoehr: Paul Kerslake from out of the blue (no reference to Chelsea) 151% of combined target and a fantastic 294% of last year. Well done Paul, I believe this is the first time Paul has reached the top spot this year - fantastic keep it up.
  • No 2 Wiesbaden: Geoff Heath and Rob Miller Up three positions over last week with 143% of target and an amazing 307% of last year. Great going lads and the troops are still away.
  • No 3 Chievres: Dave Cox Another branch coming out of nowhere with 123% of combined targets and 150% of last year. Dave was also 129% of target in GB Shape which he services once a week. Well done Dave.
  • No 4 Lakenheath: Gary Bloom Dropping down three places from last week with 110% of combined target and 119% of last year. Gary was still the top $ selling store with over $8000. Well done Gary.
  • No 5 Heidelberg: Alan Self Dropping two positions this week at 110% of combined targets and 119% of last year. Another good week in the sauna land of the Heidelberg BX. Well done Alan.

Thank you for all your hard work, let’s see who the movers will be next week. Who will be out and who will be in the top five next week. Can Paul retain the top spot ?? Will Gary turn in another amazing week ?? or Will it be somebody out of the blue who was not mentioned this week??

Thank you, good health, and good trading

John Collins
