USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

Another rough week last week ladies & gentlemen… as you read by my earlier email in the week, 55% of target and only 64% of Last Year. Europe however did very well and ended their week 92% of target and 100% of last year.

Calling your past and present customers, emailing them, sending out the customer letter is the ONLY way that you will get customers into your shop. “Word of mouth” is not a tried and tested selling technique and will not help you bring customers into the shop.

Pick up the phone NOW and get your customers into the branch – We need some figures on the books guys… Sooner rather than later.

I’ll take Ready Made or Made to Measure sales
As long as we are making target!!

TOP SALES

Only two branches made target last week... McChord - Drew (100%) and Buckley - Allan (137%)

ICON BROCHURES

As you have all now seen, the Icon brochures have now touched down in your branch along with some replacement cloth books from the stocks that Tracey had in Head Office.

Over the next few weeks I will be making an email-able version of the concertina booklet so that you have a back-up copy but one that will aide you in sales.

I also have a couple of extra lining books available, so let me know if you need to replace yours.

It’s as important for us to make sure the MM counter looks as appealing as the Ready Made stock on the floor... Take a step back and give it a “Critical Eye” today.

NEW SHIRT UNIT

Some of you have heard that there will be a new shirt unit rolling out over the next few months.

t’s currently on trial at our Lakenheath AFB branch in the UK and is doing very well.

I wanted to share this sneak peak here with you – I’m sure like me you can’t wait to get your hands on this!!

TSO / PSO CLOTHS

I am hearing reports that some staff members are not completing the TSO and PSO cloth notices that you receive via the email system.

All managers are required to mark the cloths (I find that a sticker from Staples – Red or Yellow works well) if they are TSO and totally remove the cloth altogether if it’s gone PSO.

If you are covering a branch or have more than one branch, this needs to be done upon receiving the notice – Immediately without fail.

BIRTHDAYS

A couple of birthdays for the month of April & May.

  • Amanda had her 21st Birthday on 26th April
  • Dave Nicholls had another 21st birthday on May 2nd too!

Congratulations guys!

REMINDER

Don’t forget your DO numbers.... Turn in your DO’s from last week and check that you have all of yours up-to-date. We don’t have to wait for Support to email us.

Good luck this week everyone...Andy

Europe - Notes from John Collins

Week 13

Combined sales were 93% of target and 100% of last year.

MM was 160% of target and 185% of last year.

RM 87% of target and 94% of last year.

Made to Measure

Good week on MM against both last year and target which helped pull back some of the deficit from last week. I know we all tried to bring them in but we can thank 4 managers for the bulk of the trade this week. We need to let the customers know that we have our 50% off sale on. Week 15 is a BIG week.

  • Paul Kerslake in Graf pulled in the business by doing his own announcement on the in store intercom.
  • Dave Tindell called one of his “new” regulars in Bamberg.
  • Dave Cox also called around and visited the small nato base.
  • Gary Bloom did his usual and got the business although it was dead”.

Well done Gents

3223 Bamberg 2,195 80 2744%
3216 Brussels Embassy 1,505 90 1672%
3281 Chievres 785 442 178%
3256 Grafenwoehr 1,235 412 300%
3162 Lakenheath 1,584 914 173%

The target as you can see were very low not to take anything away from the managers.

Ready Made

Once again we just missed target and last year figures.

Again the proms pushed the sales and now most branches reporting the stock of radically reduced suits has basically disappeared.

The new ranges of lighter colours suits and sport jackets shirts and ties are selling well.

The suit of the month has done well this week. BL661 18 sold and TS940 20 sold
