I hope you all had a great Memorial Day or Bank Holiday – where ever you may reside! Not too burnt from the first day of Pool openings & BBQ’s I hope?!

USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day or Bank Holiday – where ever you may reside! Not too burnt from the first day of Pool openings & BBQ’s I hope?!

Typically, like previous years, last week was busy right up until Saturday for most of you, as much of the military and government shut down Friday for a four day weekend.

However, one or two branches did very well from visitors from out of state on Sunday and this has given us a promising start to the week (17).

That said, it’s a big week for us ahead - $81,000 to do Target.

It’s the last week of the MM sale and with the RM reductions you still have, it’s very achievable – 20% of that was done on Sunday guys… it shows it can be done!

Let’s pull out all the stops – Push your shirts, Ties & Cufflinks – sell a 3Pce instead of a 2Pce and push the extra trousers and Blazers too…. See below for some ideas from branches I’ve seen this week….

TOP SALES

An improvement over previous weeks – several branches exceeded target last week:

  • 1ST – Nellis AFB – Trevor – 169% Excellent Trevor!! Well done.
  • 2ND – Myer – Nathan – 115% Great Job! Where’s the rest of the beltway this week?
  • 3RD – Dix Mcgurie – Taylor – 108% There’s the newbie – Top three.... Nice one!
  • 4TH – Carson - Allan - 107% Nice to see you up here again Allan.
  • 5TH – Ft Sam - Jeff - 100% A tough one, but a great number (Sunday too!)

Top sales as of Sunday night for the USA – Spot any branches from above in this list?? 3 out of the top 5 for the week so far....

Top 5 USA Stores - Sales Value (last updated: 25/05/2009 at 5:05am) (USD)

Marine Corps Quantico - 02100 2,697 8,794 30.7

NOW THERE’S A BRIGHT IDEA

Some great visual ideas were spotted at Fort Dix, Fort Lewis & McChord at a recent visit:

Just a “see” of posters at Fort Lewis – Spot the Bright Orange Alexandre One?
(Posters made & also used by Drew at McChord AFB)

The senior guys will remember this one... GQ mag & copy the display on a mannequin.

Simple, but very effective – Alternating shirt colors on top of racks.

"HART LOOK?!"

I received an email from Tim Brooks who was covering at Marine base, Henderson Hall last weekend... This email speaks for itself and echo’s what I’ve been saying to some of you:

“Henderson Hall MCX is now carrying Hart Schaffner & Marx, 2 Pce suits $550.00, Blazers $310.00 & Trousers at $110.00

Earlier today I had a customer who wanted to compare Hart & Marx's blazers to Alexandre...... Well, he walked away with the better fitting blazer............... ALEXANDRE LONDON ! This really made my day to see that our product is competitive with every company out there in regards to fit & price.

Regards,
Tim”

BIRTHDAYS & ANNIVERSARIES

Happy birthday Nathan – 26th May. Looking as sophisticated as ever… and doesn’t look a day over 21!

Happy Anniversary Kelly – Joined the company a year ago today (26th May).
(Seems like only yesterday!)

Team Talk Ends……. Good luck this week everyone……Andy

Europe - Notes from John Collins

Week 16

Combined sales were 88% of target and 97% of last year.

MM was 64% of target and 73% of last year.

RM 95% of target and 102% of last year.

Made to Measure

A slightly better result this week than last but still short of both target 64% and last year 73%

The main contributions came from:

Gary Bloom in Lakenheath: with $2005 which was top for MM sales for the week but was only 95% of target not bad at all, seeing as a lot of the troops are away.

Mark Fletcher in Chievres with $1555, 150% of target whilst covering for Dave Cox as he is away on holiday well done Mark.

Geoff Heath who was covering for Geoff Berry and Rob Miller in Wiesbaden: With $1200 and 170% of target. Well done Gents.

Vince Blackett in Stuttgart: back from his holidays $1165 and 105% of target. Well done Vince.

Ready Made

We were short of target 95% ($2500) hard luck and 102% of last year.

The main contributors this week:

Trevor Scarratt helped by Rob Miller in Ramstein: they came in with a whopping $11460 168% of target. The troops from Baumholder are back. A lot of hard work. Fantastic Gents.

Paul Kerslake in Grafenwoehr: $6385 139% of target. Well done Paul.

Alan Self in Heidelberg: $6080 125% of target good job Alan.

Geoff Heath for Geoff Berry and Rob Miller in Wiesbaden: $5325 109% of target once again well done Gents.

Dave Tindell in Schweinfurt: $2045 106% of target. One of the smaller stores at the moment with few troops around with. Great work Dave.

The Memorial Day sale helped most branches with more discounts on already reduced garments helping to clear stock.

Combined Sales

Were short on target 88% and we came very close to last year 97%. Great team effort.

The top contributors are:

Ramstein $12155 156% of target. Fantastic week Trevor and Rob.

Wiesbaden $6610 117% of target well done Geoff and Rob.

Grafenwoehr $6385 115% of target. Good going Paul.

Heidelberg $6425 105% of target. Another solid week Alan.

Chievres $4300 105% of target. Well done Mark.

Good luck and good trading
