Issue 22/10

Monday, 6th July 2009

This is the slower time of the year with school out and vacation time this means we should take advantage of this by dedicating more time to the up keep of the shop. Making sure displays are up to date and are dressed to make you feel proud of them. Plus anything else that has been neglected the last couple of months. As the boy scouts say “Be prepared”.

California Fires

Europe - Notes from John Collins

Week 22

Combined sales were 101% of target and 111% of last year.

MM was 72% of target and 84% of last year.

RM 112% of target and 120% of last year.

A good start to the week saw the BX/PX’s deserted over the weekend.

The 4th of July falling on a Saturday did not help, with footfall being little to none. Most of the people took advantage of the 4 day weekend and the nice weather going away or doing the American favourite past time of BBQ and celebrating their special holiday.

Made to Measure

Unfortunately we did not reach target although we did come close with the extension to the 2 suit special attracting attention and saving us a little embarrassment with the merchant sale not getting the attention it should.

The main contributions came from:

Dave Tindell in Schweinfurt: A great week with $2154 which is 813% of target. Fantastic Dave well done.

Leigh and John in Kaiserslautern: With $2040 which is 182% of target. Well done Leigh and John

Gary in Lakenheath: With $1520 which is 82% of target a good week but not as good as last year, this shows that the people in Lakenheath are away. Well done Gary.

Ready Made

The weekend let us down with the Independence Day activities pulling the customers away from the stores. Our RM Independence Day sale helped us here with the customers that were in the store being attracted by the superb prices.

The main contributors this week:

The top 3

Dave Cox in Chievres: 209% of target with $3325 in trade. Well done Dave.

Robert Miller in Mannheim: Once again in the top 3 206% of target with $2740 in trade. Good going Rob.

Alan Self in Heidelberg: 129% of target with $3245 in trade. Well done Alan.

Combined Sales

We came in on the right side of target 101 % and last year 111%

The top contributor in trade $ is:

Leigh Poulton and John Collins in Kaiserslautern with a total trade amount of $5600. Good job.

The top contributor against target is:

Dave Tindell Schweinfurt 229% of target. Well done Dave.

Good teamwork helped us beat the week.
