Another strong week everyone… and what a joy it is to see!

California Fires

USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

Another strong week everyone… and what a joy it is to see!

A healthy start to the year like this, will keep us ahead of the game for the entire year.

We are ahead (as of this week) of last year and that should give us the “push” that we need to succeed and beat target.

Some excellent results from big and small branches alike.

That’s the good news… The bad news is that for the month of February we are actually down against budget by quite a sizable amount… $13,000 We have a hard, but not impossible task ahead of us this week. We have to do $65,000 on RM’s…

OK, now that you’ve picked yourselves up off the floor, let’s break that down and see what we can / have done about it to help you out this week – to make your task a little bit easier:

  • The “Winter Sales Flyer” has been sent out to all of your customers that signed up to the web site, advertizing Up to 75% off Off the Rack merchandise.
  • All top coats and sports jackets have been further marked down to entice your customers into buying – Remember, the more sales you can make to one customer the less customers you need!
  • And… with that last statement, I have a little competition for you… READ BELOW and check your email for the chance to earn so BIG BUCKS with the latest competition – It’s a good one, don’t miss it!!!

SALES COMPETITION – THIS WEEK ONLY!!!!

OK, this is a great competition and one, which could make you some good “Scratch!”

Here are the details and instructions, which need to be followed to the “T” to win this competition:

5% OF BEST MULTIPLE DOLLAR SALE, MADE THIS WEEK!

Competition Rules & Instructions

  • This competition is for the Best Multiple Sale to one customer, this week only!
  • “Multiple sale” means the total dollar sales amount to one customer at one time.
  • This will be checked using your stores IMR or Essentus system and verified.
  • It will also be crosschecked using Oasis.

So that these sales stand out and are easier for us to see, you must enter “9999” into the “Transaction Number” box on the sales entry screen. You must also enter the customer details (at least the customers name) when prompted to do so after entering each item. This (as you know) creates a sales “Folder” for that customer on the date you sell him / her the items.

If you do not follow these instructions then your sale won’t count!

So, what does this really mean, in terms of $$$$

Let’s say you have a customer come in and he buys $3,000 worth of suits, topcoats, sports jacket, shirts, ties & cufflinks.

You’ll enter the information as detailed above and if this is the best multiple sale out of the European branches for the week, you’ll get a gift card for the place of your choice, to the tune of $150! - (Remember, that’s on top of your usual commission too!)

This is a great opportunity to earn some extra cash this week for you and your branch.

You’ve got the tools – Email flyer has been sent out to your customers… You’ve still got the “Spend $350 get an extra $50 off” vouchers… Winter Markdown, including coats done… and now you have a great sales incentive too!

SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE GOT!!

Good luck & Good Trading this week. - Andy

HOW ARE WE DOING?

So, how did we look at close of business? Week 3:

RM

AAFES – 104% AGAINST TARGET 108% LAST YEAR
MCX – 141% AGAINST TARGET 162% LAST YEAR

MM

AAFES – 109% AGAINST TARGET 148% LAST YEAR MCX – 142% AGAINST TARGET 115% LAST YEAR

CUMULATIVE YTD

117% AGAINST YEARLY TARGET and 130% AGAINST LAST YEAR

Those are some good-looking numbers guy and a credit to your hard work and commitment.

This is going to be your year… Don’t let off the gas, keep the pressure on and you’ll smash target and get that bonus you’re always hearing about!

Also remember, branch grading hasn’t changed, grades are where they were three years ago. When business increases this year there is also a chance to increase your overall salary by increasing your branches grade relative to your sales total.

GO FOR IT!

WINTER SALE - ENDS SOON!

To go over the email that Tracey sent you yesterday; the Winter Sale ends on 27th Feb.

You should remove your sale tickets (Save the decent shape ones to use again) and start to move your reduced stock towards the back of your department, into Zone 3/4 (Remember your Business Game plan-o-grams).

You should have New ranges with bright, springtime coloured shirts & ties on the front of each range.

The Winter Sale “Officially” ends on the 27th, but (unless it’s a temporary markdown) this doesn’t mean that the prices go back up. We just need to make sure the department looks new, fresh and ready for the upcoming season.

STAFF

I am still looking for a relief person to work around the beltway, primarily in the Andrews AFB and Fort Belvoir stores – Do you know anyone that has Men’s retail experience that would fit this role?

Let me know and send me a resume!
