The BIG WINNER for this competition is a branch that does a lot of high numbers, to go along with his high targets

California Fires

USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

Well, we didn’t hit the needed $65,000 on Ready Made last week, but against Target and Last Year you all did a tremendous job – well done you!

It wasn’t the easiest of weeks as most AAFES stores were having their “Let’s get rid of it!” sale offering further discounts on clearance items. I know that most of you were offering your save $50 spend $350 vouchers which helped and EVERYONE tried to get a big multiple sale to win the 5% prize.

That paid off as we were well over last years business and we beat target!

Made to measure is a different story however and it suffered yet again, last week.

We’ve really got to keep our eye on the ball and make sure that the “Made to Measure Demon” doesn’t drag us down.

You are doing well over all but we’ve got to ensure we keep on top of measures – and I know the new sale that’s starting on the 15th will help.

HOW ARE WE DOING?

So, how did we look at close of business? Week 4:

RM

AAFES – 106% AGAINST TARGET 113% LAST YEAR
MCX – 90% AGAINST TARGET 91% LAST YEAR

MM

AAFES – 70% AGAINST TARGET 88% LAST YEAR
MCX – 64% AGAINST TARGET 57% LAST YEAR

CUMULATIVE YTD

112% AGAINST YEARLY TARGET and 124% AGAINST LAST YEAR

keep up the hard work and the pressure on – we need to clear those top coats and winter jackets… before it get’s to 90 degrees!

SALES COMPETITION - WHO WON IT???

It was a great competition with some very good multiple sales. I wish I could give you all a prize, but I can’t! – Anyway, that wouldn’t make it very special would it?!

The BIG WINNER for this competition is a branch that does a lot of high numbers, to go along with his high targets!

He is constantly “Up there” for his sale total amounts but doesn’t always get in the spot-light due to the fact that to hit 100% his sales goal is usually somewhere around $10,000!

BUT… after having several weeks with over $12,000 in sales (His year to date cumulative actual is over $40,000!!!) it gives me great pleasure to announce the winner is STEVE HILL from Fort Belvoir, who had a multiple sale of….. (Wait for it!)….. $3,000 to one Mr. Gaskin. The customer bought $1,800 on Made to Measure, paid up-front in full and then bought another $1,200 off the rack. Now, that’s a sale.

Great result Steve – Thank you for your contribution and enjoy spending your $150 gift card in Target (I have a feeling the twins will be getting new shoes!)

Good luck & Good Trading this week. - Andy

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Well, one of the team is 21 (again!) this week… on the 5th March to be exact.

Hmmm…. Who could it be?…..

Happy Birthday Tracey! – You are so colour coordinated… Glasses, Shoes and Shirt!

STAFF

I am still looking for a relief person to work around the beltway, primarily in the Andrews AFB and Fort Belvoir stores – Do you know anyone that has Men’s retail experience that would fit this role?

Let me know and send me a resume!
