Europe - Notes from John Collins

It has been a while since the last team talk so let’s get on and catch up on what has been happening.

WEEK 26

The first half year is over and we are doing well especially with all the things happening in the world, with Deployments, US deficit budget problems the economic climate, base closures etc.

So how have we performed the first half year?

Week 1-26

  Target Last Year
Ready Made 95% 99%
Made to Measure 127% 128%
Combined 100% 103%

As you can see this year it is MM that is carrying us with a very healthy increase over last year. We have caught the customer’s interest again and restored our own faith in made to measure.

The second quarter has seen a marked improvement over the first quarter.

  Week 26 Week 13
Target Last Year Target Last Year
Ready Made 95% 99% 90% 95%
Made to Measure 127% 128% 121% 126%
Combined 100% 103% 95% 99%

For the Weeks 13 – 26 the second quarter

  • RM has seen a growth of 5% to target and 4% to last year
  • MM has a growth of 6% on target and 2% on last year.
  • Combined has increased 5% on target and 4% on last year increase

We all can be proud of what we have achieved up to now but as always in life we cannot sit on this, we still have to think of ways to improve ourselves (as we always do) to keep the momentum going. This is what makes the export team so strong.

How does all this affect the money in your pocket?

If this was week 52 only 2 full time branches would miss out on the bonus of $500.

But this is week 26 and those two branches are not far away from that magic number 101%

Not only the chance of a year-end bonus beckons but with the increase in sales comes the increase in commission.

To try to bring it home how much extra you can take home here is an example of how much extra dosh comes with those extra sales and HAS been paid out to one branch. And this is not the highest increase on the area.

No name(s)
Commission earned
Last year 1-26 $1195
This year 1-26 $1594
An extra $400 in the pocket just by pushing for those extra sales.

To help keep us on target and through the slow time of the year and also to help reward the salesman in us all we will be running a MM spiff special

...EARN $50 FOR EVERY SUIT SOLD...

For the remainder of the Free Legs promotion, we will be giving you an extra incentive on all made to measure orders taken from our Buckingham Mills cloths.

All orders taken between 4th August and 10th September will attract a commission rate of 6.34% which means that you will earn up to $50 for every suit sold in the Free Legs promotion on Buckingham Mills fabrics.

Last year during the same time period we sold 221 suits - if you order the same quantities this year that means that the share of commission to be earned on our division is a massive $11,050 .

This is a great chance for you to earn extra bucks and a great way for you to save either for your Summer Holidays if you haven’t already had them or for Thanksgiving / Christmas which is the next big event on our calendar.

Remember – commission is paid on cash so the higher deposit you take, the sooner you will be paid this cash bonus.

The commission rate will revert to the standard 4% on 11th September 2011.

NOW that is an incentive go out there and push up your commission.
