USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

Week 44 proved to be quite a tough challenge for us, but we didn’t let-up and it didn’t beat us! Everyone pushed hard and the outcome was quite a good one.

We came close (within a grand!) of hitting the high target number BUT we did beat last year’s numbers by a growth of 3%

That’s a very good achievement, but one that I know we can better this week.

Our team-mates in Germany / Italy / England deserve a mention at this point… total sales there were in the amount of $95,000!!

Hat’s off to John and his guys for achieving an amazing figure and kudo’s to KMCC and Lakenheath who did some outstanding business!

Well done guys – I hope we can make you all proud this week!

Ok, back to the US…. We have a massive week to do this week - $88,000

Now, that may sound a lot (It is!!) but remember that last year, this exact same week, we did an actual figure of $84,000 so that’s only an increase of $4,000.

We can achieve these numbers by asking our customer the old French Fry question:

“Do You Want A Tie With That?”

Remember that if we sell 250 suits this week and sell at least one tie with each suit for $35, that will give us an increase of a whopping $8,750!!

There’s our $4,000 and then some!!

What if we sell a blazer or a jacket or a top coat with every suit??!! – The sky’s the limit as long as you “Ask!” your customers if they want to save money… buy today and save $$$

HOW ARE WE DOING?

So, how did we look at close of business? Week 44:

RM

AAFES – 86% AGAINST TARGET & 92% LAST YEAR
MCX – 71% AGAINST TARGET & 73% LAST YEAR

MM

AAFES – 191% AGAINST TARGET 237% LAST YEAR
MCX – 223% AGAINST TARGET 210% LAST YEAR

CUMULATIVE WEEK

99% AGAINST YEARLY TARGET and 103% AGAINST LAST YEAR

This puts us at 95% against target and 103% against last year.

So, it’s obvious to see where we need to give ourselves a “Kick” – it’s on the RM business… we are not even hitting last years numbers on RMs and this needs to improve immediately if we are to beat the target numbers we have ahead of us.

Made to Measure is racing ahead which is great but we are dropping BIG amounts on RM’s.

Marine Corps… What’s happening on RM’s with you guys??

BIG HITTERS!

There were some BIG hitters in week 44 last week, that helped push us close to hitting the target number. Is your name on here??

• FORT BELVOIR - $14,352 ON RM’S & $2945 ON MM’S
• FORT SAM - $8,189 ON RM’S
• FORT MEADE - $5,580 ON RM’S & $1,472 ON MM’S
• HENDERSON HALL - $2,828 ON RM’S & $3,580 ON MM’S

Whilst EVERY SINGLE BRANCH beat target on Measures last week, only 3 beat target (not including the two road-shows) on Ready Made… We have to do better than this guys.

I expect to see all branches beating their targets on RM’s this week.

SNOWY RIVER BUNCH

Just a quick reminder that the Holland & Sherry bunch “Snowy River” MUST have “HS” added to the beginning of the cloth number on any order taken.

If you don’t you run the risk of getting a different cloth as requested and the order may not go into the system.

Our statistics from the number of visitors to our www.alexandrelondon.com website are in… much better than last year but these could be higher still!

Remember that everyone that signs up using their email address gets advance notification of our sales – It benefits you and our customers to give their email info to the website…

Can you believe it… there are 21 people in Russia and 23 in Australia that are checking our website out!

With the help of the website, we really are “Going Global” now!

BRANCH MANAGER VACANCY
