California Fires

Europe Notes from John Collins

So how did we do this week?

WEEK 38

Target 109%
Last Year 92%

We did well against target with 109% but once again, we were down on last year with 92%.

Looking at the bigger picture - How does this look on the full year?

We are 97% of target and 100% of last year.

(Remember you can see this by looking at Flash Sales on Team Talk)

Well done keep up the good work and let us see how far we can push both targets through the 100% mark in the last three months of the financial year.

The week started out well - unfortunately the weekend slowed down a little in some branches, maybe because Christmas Eve was missing from the week unlike last year, it will be in next week so we should do well in week 39.

The top branches this week on combined targets are:

  • Lakenheath 149% of target and 115% of last year. Yet another fantastic week from Gary.
  • Heidelberg 142% of target and only 86% of last year great week Alan and Rob
  • Ramstein 132% of target and 123% of last year. Well done Trevor and Rob.
  • Stuttgart 131% of target and but only 75% of last year. Well done Vince.
  • Kaiserslautern 116% of target 104% of last year well done Geoff Heath Leigh and Rob.
  • Chievres 109% of target 119% of last year well done Dave who also was 150% of target at GB Shape his part time branch.
  • Wiesbaden also 109% of target but was 92% of last year, well done to the two Geoff’s.
  • Schweinfurt was only 50% of target but with Bamberg bringing in $1205 in sales which when added to the Schweinfurt trade brought in just under $6,000 in trade. Well done Dave

It was disappointing to see that Mannheim was only 61% of target and 53% of last year and Grafenwoehr only 50% of target especially as both had a good week previous. I am sure we will see a better week next week from Melvyn and Paul.

So the Christmas rush is over and the New year rush is on.

Keep the momentum going with shirts, ties and cuff links, try to push the tux shirt for New Years Eve parties with a black suit or tuxedo. Latest styles being seen for the younger partygoers is the French cuff shirt not tucked into the trousers or jeans with a nice pair of cuff links but no tie.

I would like to thank you all for the help and support you have given me in my first 6 Months as new ASM and look forward to see it blossom even further over the years to come.

I would like to wish you and your loved ones a HAPPY NEW YEAR And All the best for 2008

We all need to work together to succeed

Thank you, good luck, and good trading.

John Collins

U.S.A. – Notes from Andy Schofield

A great week last week everyone on ready to wear at 99% of last year, WELL DONE TO ALL OF YOU!

Sales in week 38 just scraped in at last year’s figures on ready to wear at $81K which was a great figure but sadly again we missed target with only 89% being achieved. Made to measure is still struggling and came in at $7119 which was only 48% of target and 68% of last year. Last year the mtm figures achieved were higher then we are achieving this year and we need to pull these numbers in to keep the factory working. 7 branches reported made to measure trade last week so it can be done and that one extra sale from every store can really make the difference.

Don’t forget those Accessories when selling the big ticket items – every penny counts!

Last week the whole division sold 210 pairs of cuff links, 874 ties and 344 shirts making total add on sales of $47,268..

WEEK 38 - STAR PLAYERS

Some big results this week guys, from some of your team mates:

  • FORT SAM HOUSTON – Top of the shop and a big well done to Jeff Boardman with total sales of $10,025 on RM and $1,020 on made to measure made Jeff the highest percentage against target this week at 157% and 178% against last year.
  • FORT MEADE – Hot on Jeff’s heels in second place was Trevor Branch in Fort Meade. Trevor pulled in sales of $8,605 which was 132% of target. Great week for you Trevor well done.
  • FORT DIX MCGUIRE – Third this week and a big well done to Nicky Swinney with total sales of $5,762 and $1,027 on made to measure made Nicky third highest performer against target this week at 128%.
  • FORT BRAGG – At 122% against target is Adelle Miller with sales of $43,81 on RM and $740 on mtm brought Adelle in at 122% of target Once again most of the top stores have both had good measure sales this week.
  • NELLIS AFB – A name we don’t see up here very often. Allan Carlile came in with 103% of target and 114% of last year which included mtm sales of $737, It can be done Allan – keep up the good work.

WE WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES AND A PROSPEROUS AND HEALTHY 2008

Good Luck this week everyone – Tracey (On behalf of Andy).
