Europe - Notes from John Collins

So how did we do this week?

WEEK 49

Europe Sales LY Target Actual % Target LY %
Made to Measure 26,933 10,651 12,830 107% 48%
Ready to Wear 28,446 38,090 44,883 118% 158%
Total Week 55,379 48,741 57,713 104% 118%

A good week against target with Made to Measure coming in at 107% of target, showing that the 50% sale getting off to a good start in most places. Ready to wear came in at 118% of target which was a tremendous increase over last year of 158% with customers buying for Easter, which is early this year.

This week a name that has been missing from the top five is back to the pleasure of us all except Vince.

So how did the individual branches do?

Full time branches:

  • No 1 Heidelberg: Alan Self 185% of combined targets and 168% on last year. Great week Alan, not only number one on target but also in sales with $8169 - a good Saturday helped. Alan helps himself with his own store announcements; everybody knows when Alan has a sale.
  • No 2 Lakenheath: Gary Bloom (He’s back) 147% of combined targets. Nice to see Gary back in the top five - where have you been the last few weeks ?? although some of the lads will not be to happy right Vince??
  • No 3 Stuttgart: Vince Blackett 137% of combined targets. Another good week Vince well done, but you will have to try a little harder next week as Gary is back on form.
  • No 4 Chievres: Dave Cox 126% of combined target. Good effort again this week Dave, you just cannot get past that other Geordie, although your percentage against last year was better.
  • No 5 Ramstein: Trevor and Rob 111% of combined target and an amazing 184% of last year, it must have been very quiet last year. Well done to you both.

Just missing out on the top five but with an increase to target are:-

  • Grafenwoehr 109% of combined targets - very nice to see Paul.
  • Mannheim 107% of combined targets with $1246 on made to measure well done Melvyn, I know it is hard with 80% of troops either downrange or getting ready to go.
  • Wiesbaden 105% of combined targets a good effort Geoff and Rob.
  • Geoff Heath who is doing relief in Schweinfurt and Bamberg while Dave Tindell is on holiday, came in with a $5195 total trade from both branches, again a very good job as these two bases are not at full strength.

TIP

Display the lighter coloured suits and accessories to introduce spring into the stores.

Thank you, Good Luck and Good Trading.

USA - Notes from Andy Schofield

Only 3 more weeks till the year end and everyone is really going all out to get as close as you can to your targets...

Last week was a great achievement. With all of the talk about gas prices and recessions, it doesn’t look like it’s affecting our sales in the Exchange! News reports of troops returning home helped the sales boost and customers came in ready to spend.

Ready Made finished strong again this week with 91% against target and 101% over last year. This should continue this week with the Easter promotion and the reductions to help clear some of the old stock and keep these numbers up in the 90’s!

Made to Measure dropped a little over the last few weeks, but still showed a good strong number. Closing the week with 97% against target and a whopping 138% over last years numbers… well done everyone.

Overall the week was a good one and we closed out with 93%. Against last year it was 111% and as long as we can beat last years numbers we can hold our heads high!

Week 49 - Star Players

  • FORT BRAGGAdelle means business guys, and nothing going to stop her!! Headed for “Grade B” Glory, Adelle topped out at 185% of Cumulative target this week. Another excellent result with over $6,200 in sales… Don’t get in the way - She’ll run ya over!
  • FORT MYER – Another one of the team that is going all out is Richard. With 157% of target and over $6,700 in sales Richard is sure to leave his mark on the year…. This week was 213% more than the same week last year! Well done Richard.
  • FORT DIX – Another great week for Nicky, with over 141% of sales over target and 163% over last years number. A strong result with over $5,000 in sales, Nicky is also well on her way to hitting the magic “B” grade – Well done Nicky.
  • HENDERSON HALL – Good to see this branch back up here again – it’s been a while. Rahim had a great week with over $9,000 in sales and had a very busy weekend with over $4,000 in MM sales. Good result Rahim.

An Honorable mention this week goes to Fort Belvoir who just missed target with 99% but had over $11,000 in total sales this week – this is over $50,000 in three weeks!! Steve, Nathan & Amanda are all going full steam ahead, flat out to try and bring home the bacon before the end of week 52 – Thank you team!!

Only two other branches made target this week and deserve a mention here – Fort Meade (Trevor Branch) and Fort Sam (Jeff Boardman) both just pushed it over the line with 102% & 104% - Well done lads….. keep it going!

Don’t forget about the MARCH COMPETITION!!

Who wants that extra day off in April??

The count down is on….. 3 weeks to go… Where will your branch be??

IT AINT OVER, TILL IT’S OVER!!
